Introduction of GNSS CORS Network Application Ceremony, Surveying Department

       Introduction of GNSS CORS Network Application Ceremony was held at Survey Department (Nay Pyi Taw), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 9:30 AM local time according to the regulations to prevent the COVID-19 outbreak. Director General of Survey Department delivered the opening speech at the ceremony. 

       U Hein Lin Zar, Deputy Director, and U Wai Moe Zaw, Staff Officer, served as Master of Ceremony. U Sein Min, Deputy Director General, presented the Motivation of CORS Establishment. Dr. Paramesh Banerjee presented the GNSS CORS Network and Time to Convert to Geocentric Coordinate System. U Sunn Win, Director from Suntac Technologies Co., Ltd., presented the Introduction to the CORS Network and How to built it. U Win Shwe, Director, presented the Overview of GNSS CORS Network and Application. U Phyo Thaw Zin, Staff Officer, presented the Establishment of GNSS CORS System. U Soe Moe Kyaw, Staff Officer, presented the Data Management System of CORS Data Center. U Zarni Aung, Staff Officer, presented the Field Survey using GNSS CORS Network. U Ko Ko Lwin, Staff Officer, presented the Introduction of Continuously Operating Reference Station of POL5. U Linn Aung, Staff Officer, presented the Introduction of Yangon GNSS CORS Network. After that Director General delivered the Closing Remarks.

       At the ceremony, (40) Participants from Survey Department and (21) Participants other surveying relative Government Departments and Suntac Technologies Co., Ltd., (Nay Pyi Taw) in the meeting rooms, Survey Department physically as COVID-19 guidelines. (11) Participants from Survey Department (Yangon), (7) Participants from Survey Department (Pyin Oo Lwin) and (31) Representatives from other Departments and Companies attended virtually. Totally (110) Participants attended at the ceremony.

       The ceremony successfully completed at 5:00 PM.
